Almost 21 million Americans have at least one addiction, yet research suggests only 10% of them receive treatment. Though Christians are not immune to these struggles, few churches are equipped to handle this complex issue. The Bridge can help churches partner with the Twelve Step anonymous groups that are already in place in their communities—and in some cases even meeting on their campuses.

The Bridge: A Biblical Introduction to the Twelve Steps offers a solution, inviting churches to utilize the power of the Twelve Steps. Jesus was never about just modifying external behavior; he was after people’s hearts.  Likewise, the Twelve Step model is more than behavior modification; it’s a slow-growth, step-by-step guide to connecting with God’s love and maturing in character.

Working the Twelve Steps results in experiencing forgiveness, living a daily life connected with God and others, and bringing a message of hope to the world. Step Nine offers structure to the process of making amends with healthy boundaries. Steps Ten through Twelve demonstrate the power of prayer, stillness, and seeking God's will daily.
